Running list of library related Starter Packs on Bluesky

I joined Twitter 13 years ago and it was a fantastic window to global librarianship and over the years I connected with so many great people and ideas. Anyway you all know the sad story about how Twitter / X has turned into Hell’s inner circle with trolls, bots and toxic content and many has moved on to Bluesky or Mastodon.

A few days ago I decided myself to move on to Bluesky and I’m thrilled to experience that open, happy, friendly vibe and willingness to reach out and connect like a remembered from the old Twitter days.

I also find myself on a road were I have to re-connect with a community and on Bluesky the socalled Starter Packs are just great for that. A Starter Pack is exactly what it sounds like: Curated packs of accounts to follow based on specific interest. Below I have made a list of great library related Starter Packs – let me know in the comment or on Bluesky if there is a pack that should be added to the list (WordPress don’t embed well with Bluesky yet so it’s all pure links to the Starter Packs)

If you are new to Bluesky I also recommend this YouTube explainer video for Bluesky Beginners:
